In addition to her career success, Samta has delivered a number of highly successful consulting outcomes for a range of clients including Horizon Power, HBF, Alinta and B Digital where she successfully assisted these businesses with:
Energy Utility: Facilitated the Change Management Process for the Renewable Energy Products Buyback Scheme; Mapped the current state and desired state of the processes, identified through various Stakeholder workshops and documented all processes and procedures; Reviewed and amended the Application Form, Terms & Conditions, Technical Requirements and Fees & Charges to reflect the new process, whilst ensuring that they were compliant with the Office of Energy legislation; Documented the Training Strategy to deliver training to the Business for the new process to be implemented.
Scoped requirements for the Customer Care (Gas & Electricity) renewals process for SME and large customer base; Facilitated workshops with key stakeholders (including executives and operational staff) to identify technology, business workflows and dependencies of the process; Captured and documented the existing functional process
Defined and authored the business requirements and business case for interval meter electricity billing project; Elicited and documented the functional requirements for the Interval Meter Billing system; Identified and incorporated the required industry regulations and compliance to the proposed billing process; Defined and documented the test strategy; Utilised Methodware to assess the project risk profile and provided project status reports to the project sponsors, on a regular basis; Worked with the Systems Architect team to prepare a Request for Proposal from various vendors; Led and facilitated all communications between the business and vendors; Conducted and participated in usability and application reviews with the users; Authored the Vendor Evaluation Document and Recommendations; Actively participated in issue resolution and escalation. Worked closely with all teams to eliminate slippage; Continually informed the Technology team of user issues and potential roadblocks; was responsible for identifying and process mapping the Electricity Program of Works; additionally defined and authored business requirements for the Customer Contact and Contract Solution and scope for the Internet Self Serve Project
Financial services: Undertook an initial consulting review to determine and deliver an implementation Roadmap for SharePoint 2010 as the internal web portal for a major health fund and authored the Project Scope document; Carried out initial analysis of the current state and desired state of the intranet; Elicited and documented the functional requirements; Prioritised functionality offered by SharePoint to meet the Business requirements; Supported the Technical Architect to ensure that Business stakeholder communications were aligned with technical direction; Provided clear and concise communication with the Business; Ensured Business stakeholder buy-in to the Roadmap;
Telecommunications: Analysed and interpreted the key drivers of the Business Unit (Customer Service) effectiveness and relevant industry trends; Conducted ongoing analysis of work practices to support enhanced decision-making, streamline processes and improve performance, whilst ensuring appropriate controls are in place and followed to minimise risk to the business; Ensured internal procedures and policies were compliant with industry standards including ACCC and ACIF; Worked closely with relevant BU manager(s) and the Executive team to develop and achieve strategic business outcomes; Analysed the data environment, business applications and associated processes and transactions for the business, ensuring it was properly documented, supported and backed up within the areas of responsibility of this role.
